Saturday 31st July

Our theme for 2010 -The Circus

12 noon          Bar, Stalls & Attractions open

1.30 pm          Judging of Fancy Dress Competition – Arena 1 

Categories – Individual & Groups Preschool, Infant, Junior and Over 12’s.

1.45-2.15 pm  Castleton Silver Band – Arena 2

2pm               Judging of the Floats - adjacent to Beggar's Plot

2.15pm           Procession assembles adjacent to Beggar’s Plot

2.30pm          Procession Commences

3.30pm          Judging of the Queens – Arena 1

                     Billerettes & St John’s Ambulance Band – Arena 2

4pm               Dogs & Ducks – Arena 2

4.30pm          Children’s Entertainer – Arena 1

Our very own giant clown will be waiting to greet you at the entrance of the field, also for your entertainment Peppa Pig & Ben 10, will be mingling with the crowd throughout the afternoon.

Sunday 1st August

1pm-10pm       Hot roast sandwiches off the carvery with chips - The Bowling Green
2pm 
                Children’s Sports - on the Sports field.
                    Races for children aged 4 -10 years + Mums &Dads
3pm
                 Five a Side Football
                        Juniors - 14 years, mixed aged teams
                   Dads game between semi and final
                   Organised by Bradwell Rovers JFC

7 pm            Blessing of the Wells Parade -
Accompanied by Castleton Silver Band
The procession will start from St. Barnabas Church proceeding onto the Church Street Well, The Children's Well, Townend Well and finishing at Smalldale Well, (where the first well, after the Second World War, was erected 60 years ago).
                   Organised by the Wells Committee.
8pm             Pool Knockout/Quiz & Bingo- The Shoulder of Mutton. See advert

Monday 2nd August

7 pm            Duck Race down Bradwell Brook, tickets on sale in the village.
                   Organised by Bradda Dads
7.30 - 9.30 pm   Street Fair - will take place in Towngate
                         Fun & Games for all the family
                         Organised by FOBS (Friends of Bradwell Schools)
                         BBQ – organised by the White Hart
7.30 pm          Irish Folk Music – Ye Olde Bowling Green see advert.

Tuesday 3rd August

7.30pm          Senior Fell Race.  Starting from Stretfield Sports Pavilion.

Starting at the Sports Pavilion & finishing at the Bowling Green, Gibby’s Delicious Hog Roast available from 6pm onwards.

                    Open to boys & girls school Year 10 and under
                         Starting at the sports pavilion, entry £1.00 per child booking in from 6 pm.
                    B Fischer Memorial trophy overall winner
                    Albert Edge Memorial trophy for 1st local boy
                    Albert Edge Memorial trophy for 1st BRJFC member
                    K Repton Cup runner up
                    Mrs Lin Middleton Trophy for 1st local girl
                    John Archer 1st Bradwell Allsports member
                    Michael Baily - for 1st aged 10 or under on the day
                    All to be held for 1 year.

Sunday 8th August

Annual Gala Bowls Competition
Teams of 3 people should contain one bowler and at least one person under 16 years old.  Names can be entered onto the forms displayed in Bradwell pubs and the Post Office. Organised by Bradwell Bowls Club.
