Once
a month Derbyshire Dales District Council visits the village to
collect and remove large waste which cannot be disposed of in
the wheelie bins or sacks. There are rules, and they are
as follows:
All items must be
delivered to the vehicle for disposal. Items left on the
roadside or deposited at the collection point in advance will be
left. This is to ensure that only those items intended for
disposal are taken. Should the vehicle become full before
the official leaving time the vehicle will leave and will not
return. If you arrive after the vehicle has left please do not
deposit your waste on the site.
This service is for
household waste only. The following items and materials are not
acceptable.
• Excavated
material, e.g. soil, turf, clay
• Greenhouses, sheds, garage doors
• Windows, doors, panes of glass, timber
• Radiators, gas fires, boilers, fire places
• Bathroom fittings
• Televisions and Computer Monitors
